I will be a blogger.

I will blog. I can do this. I think....

Yeah I know it's about time...

A&A turned 1! They are perfectly happy and healthy! They are also stubborn, silly, and at moments whiny. I love every single moment of it. We are 9 days away from "The Most Wonderful Time of the Year" and no its obviously not Christmas...FOOTBALL SEASON. I absolutely can not wait to take the girls to Starkville. I promise I will actually update this thing...pinky promise.

A New Adventure

Sometimes I don't think people realize how different life is raising preemies. People think I'm totally crazy cakes. But, my babies are healthy and growing so I must be doing something right. Dr M gave us the go ahead to lift some of the girls restrictions. He told me and I quote "You need to stop being a hermit". I laughed and his words rang through my head the entire drive home. So a week and a half after that discussion I decided it was time for a outing. A cautious, uneventful, germ-free outing. To say I was nervous is a understatement. So on this beautiful 75 degree sunny Sunday we loaded up for a late afternoon lunch at Logans. My requirements were 1.) We had to sit outside away from other people. Period. This was not up for discussion. 2.) No gremlins (ages 2-5) were too be within a 50 ft radious of us at anytime. 3.) If someone even had the idea of approaching me and the girls they were taking their safety into their own hands.

So armed with Lysol wipes and a bad attitude we casually enjoyed a late lunch with the family. I can't say I didnt have fun. No one else was outside. No one looked our way much less got close to us. They had 0 exposure to anyone else so I can officially say WE DID IT!

Now don't go getting all excited friends.  I don't plan on this being a routine. I still plan on being on lockdown until April. It was just too pretty and warm to stay inside. Dr M outlined what we should and should not do and of course I have amended the "rules". Hermit=healthy and I am okay with that :)

E is Very Very Extraordinary!

Took the girls to our bi-weekly pediatrician appointment today! Boy did we get great news!

Abigail is 9lbs 11oz and 22 inches long! She sounds great and Dr G said she was starting to teethe! Her development is AHEAD of where it needs to be! She is measuring about 4-6 weeks behind her actual age! Keep in mind folks, she should be 15 weeks behind! We are starting baby food this week! I'm very excited however Im sure that will fade quickly when Im scraping sweet potatoes off the ceiling!

Adalynn is 10lbs 7oz and 22 inches! Big girl! Dr G said she was really teething which might explain the clingy/fussy spells she has been having at night! She is also measuring ahead just like her sister. We also don't go back to see Dr G until their 9 month check-up (whoa baby).

Words cannot express how amazed and blessed I am by my girls development! The Lord has truly touched this family and protected us from so much. I love watching them grow! Motherhood is the best gift I have ever been given!

Busy Week

Mommy has here plate full this week. Housework is piling up and I have 2 little princesses that don't leave me much time. Laundry or cuddles? Cuddles win everytime. I have a Footprints ministry meeting tonight! I'm so excited about becoming the Huntsville Chapter Coordinator for Footprints. I'm looking forward to meeting NICU families and spreading His Word. Tuesday night I have the March of Dimes kickoff party where I will be speaking and telling my girls amazing story!

Abby and Addy are holding their head's up so well these days. They are eating 5oz bottles every 4 hours and we started rice cereal from a bowl on Saturday. They LOVE it! Abby did have some sort of virus on Friday. We took her to Dr Gunter and all RSV and flu tests came back negative. Praise God! At least I now have snotty nose and fever under my hat and may not be as scared next time.

Also, if you havent gotten with me yet PLEASE consider donating and getting out to walk on April 16 for March for Babies. March of Dimes research brings babies home!

In His Grace,
Clayli
